This poster is from a series of reprinted newspaper front pages issued by Bell & Howell in 1971, presumably as some sort of promotion with either their newsreel, motion picture or sound recording equipment. Some of the other re-prints from the I’ve seen include: The Milwaukee Sentinel from August 25th, 1926 with a story about Rudolph Valentino’s death and subsequent riot with over 100 injured during the bier (viewing after his death), Los Angeles Times from May 7th, 1937 about the Hindenburg disaster, New York Herald Tribune from December 5th, 1933 announcing the end of the prohibition of alcohol, and the St. Petersburg Times from August 14th, 1945 announcing the surrender of Japan and the end of World War II. This particular poster of course features one of the most infamous moments in Orson Welles career.
