Here Vespa has used a special (long) lock cylinder for the combined ignition / steering luggage compartment lock.TIPThis lock cylinder type engages in the corresponding housing via a spring-loaded hook.The lock housings have a corresponding through bore or slot. Old locking cylinders can then be removed without drilling out if the locking cylinder is positioned in such a way that it lies exactly above this bore with its retaining hook. The hook can then be unlocked with a small Allen key or bent wire and the cylinder pulled out. As a rule, this is only possible if the locking cylinder is not in the "locked" position.
