DescriptionBGM PRO Superstrong clutch plates type CR Suitable for retrofitting for all clutches type COSA2 (exception: BGM Superstrong CR) for Vespa Largeframe (PX/Cosa/T5, Rally etc.)) This CR plate set contains: 3x double sided clutch discs1x half sided clutch discsThis makes it suitable for all Vespa large frame clutches of type COSA2 (Exception: BGM Superstrong CR) FEATURESThe clutch plate type CR differs significantly from conventional Vespa clutch plates.Original used in the clutches of Honda CR80/VFR400 models, they offer the following advantages over the standard Piaggio Cosa brake pads: greater effective radius less weight wider flaps carrier material: Aluminiumvery resilient lining material 1:1 Replacement of series plates(without modifications) The advantages are a lighter clutch which separates faster and is extremely resilient.Despite the supposedly smaller lining surface, the clutch with the CR lining type can transmit more torque with the same spring force.Only the effective radius is decisive, not the size of the friction surface as such (this is only relevant for wear). Thanks to the enormously resistant lining material, the CR platescan also be used in very powerful engines in everyday use. A big advantage here are the higher clutch plates compared to the original linings. A CR plates set enables a clean and free separating clutch even with a very small lever travel. In addition, the lining material enables very simple and safe switching operations at high speeds. RECOMMENDATIONWe also recommend a low-alloy gear oil of classes API GL3/GL4 for high-performance engines in order to avoid slipping of the clutch even under extreme loads. This also applies to our BGM Superstrong/Superstrong CR clutchs. The old engine oil specification SAE30 corresponds to the current gear oil specification SAE 85W/90. (US) Note: The entire lining package is approx. 1 mm lower with these linings. After installing the clutch, please check whether it touches the clutch cover. If necessary, rework this or use a turned out cover.
